Illinois Mask and Vaccination Mandates for Your Time at Founder’s Week
When attending Founder’s Week in person, please note the following COVID-19 mandates from the State of Illinois and Cook County:
The Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) requires wearing face masks at all indoor locations. Masks must be worn indoors on the Moody Bible Institute campus as well as in any indoor venue in and around Chicago, including tourist destinations, hotels, and restaurants. The state’s face covering restriction applies to all individuals ages 2 and older regardless of vaccination status. Please visit the IDPH website for more details.
The Cook County Department of Public Health requires proof of COVID-19 vaccination for all individuals ages 5 and older, such as presenting a vaccination card, to enter tourist destinations, restaurants, and other entertainment venues. This mandate covers all entertainment venues in Chicago and the rest of Cook County. Visit Cook County’s website for more information.
How do these restrictions affect attendees at Founder’s Week?
Masks must be worn indoors on the Moody Bible Institute campus regardless of vaccination status and for the duration of your time on campus.
In accordance with other local coffee shops, Joe’s Coffee Shop will remain open during Founder’s Week. Proof of COVID vaccination status is NOT required to order food or beverages but is required for dine-in service.
Proof of COVID vaccination is NOT required for take-out orders at The Commons but is required for dine-in service.
The Student Dining Room is not open to the public.
